Canada Place is a building situated on the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver, BC. It is home to the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Vancouver World Trade Centre and the virtual flight ride FlyOver Canada. The building's exterior is covered by fabric roofs resembling sails. Canada Place hosts several events throughout the year including a huge celebration on July 1st, Canada Day.
The Heritage Horns, known as the 12 O'clock Horn, sound the first four notes of O Canada everyday at noon and can be heard throughout Downtown Vancouver and beyond. The ten horns have five facing north and five facing east on the roof of the Pan Pacific hotel and have an output of 115 Decibels.
Directions:
- Turn right out of the hostel and walk down Granville St until W Cordova St
- Turn left on W Cordova St and continue 1 block until Howe St.
- Once on Howe St, turn right and you'll see it in front of you.
