Chinatown is a neighbourhood in Vancouver, BC and is Canada's largest Chinatown. Centered around Pender Street, it is surrounded by Gastown to the north, the Downtown financial and central business districts to the west and the False Creek inlet to the south.
Today the neighbourhood features many traditional restaurants, banks, markets and tea shops catering to the local community and tourists alike. OMNI British Columbia had its television studio in Chinatown from 2003 to 2010. Vancouver Film School also has a smaller location in Chinatown. The renowned bar and nightclub known as Fortune Sound Club is situated in the heart of Chinatown and since 2019 they have grown to become one of the most popular night clubs in BC.
Directions:
1. Turn left out of the hostel and head towards Davie St & Granville St
2. Get on bus #4 or #7 and stay on 8 stops until you reach E WB Cordova and Carrall St
3. Get off and walk down Carrall St until you reach West Pender St.
