Gastown

Gastown is located North along the downtown Vancouver Peninsula. A must if you're visiting Vancouver, it boasts an array of historic sites, including the famous Gastown Steam Clock, funky eateries and bars and a mix of boutique and vintage thrift stores. Named one of Vancouver's most 'instagrammable' spots, it's easy to spend a whole day here, taking in its historic charm, artsy nature and vibrant atmosphere.

In the spring and summer, this area is the perfect place to sit on a patio and enjoy a cocktail or cold beer, taking in the buzz of your surroundings. Things start to heat up even more so in the evening, with many establishments offering live entertainment. If you're looking for eccentric live entertainment, head to Guilt & Co, a modern Speakeasy offering weekly independent live music and entertainment. Another great option is the Blarney Stone, a friendly two-level pub hosting live music every Friday and Saturday.
