Grouse Mountain

As Vancouver's most popular attraction welcoming 1.5 million guests each year, Grouse Mountain is a four-season destination featuring a wildlife refuge, vast selection of dining options, thrilling outdoor adventures, summer activities and the best in local snow sports

During summer you can participate in the Grouse Grind hike which involves hiking up an elevation of 2529 ft to reach the mountain summit which is a great way to stay active and you'll save money on the gondola fees. During winter Grouse Mountain becomes a slope which you can ski and snowboard on and purchase either a day pass or a season pass.

The construction of the ski resort began in the 1930s with a ski lift. Two double chairlifts followed in 1949 and 1951. A further development step was in 1966 with the opening of the aerial tramway, which leads from North Vancouver to the mountain.
